Founder, DAMMTVANDFAMILY COMMUNITY CIC
Mrs Aminat
Alamu O is the founder of DAMMTVANDFAMILYCOMMUNITY
CIC, and leads the Family Heritage Network project under the
organisation. Her journey began from deeply personal
experience: after her eldest daughter was assaulted, she
navigated the aftermath feeling isolated and unsupported
this became her calling to build a space where everyone can
find strength, understanding, and community.
Driven by this mission, she supports families settling in the
UK, helping them navigate local systems and build confident,
hopeful lives. The organization works with Austin Dance
Theater and other local groups, running inclusive activities
for everyone no matter co lour, age or background open
to children, adults, men and women aged 5 to 80. They create
safe, welcoming spaces where all can join in, connect and
thrive.
Supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, the CIC is proud
to partner with WEAP (Walsall Energy Action Project) to help
local families with energy advice and practical support.
Aminat also volunteers as a Tennis Activator with the LTA, and
with Windrush Sisters and Family Heritage Network. She holds

With this wide range of experience and
credentials, she acts as a trusted bridge between people and
the help they need offering compassionate guidance,
signposting to the right services, and empowering everyone to
access support fairly.
She expertly signposts individuals to appropriate
professional services and resources, ensuring they
